The skull of a Common Brushtail Possum. Though natives here in Australia, they are a major invasive pest over in New Zealand. This particular one is slightly smaller so most likely a subadult.
These skulls are imported from there, and all come with a photocopy of the import and fumigation paperwork stating they are from NZ and not Australia. So long as you keep that paperwork as proof, no further permits or licenses are necessary.
Each of these skulls is unique, so please check photos carefully for any imperfections. Some skulls have small molars missing, or slight staining from the soil they were found in.
