Also known as the Crested Wood Partridge, this a small partridge species from the lowland rainforests of Asia. Also very common in the avian community worldwide, but especially Europe. This particular skull is originally from a captive bred bird from the Netherlands.
This species is dimorphic, and only the males have the large, bright red crests on their heads, as well as the dark, metallic green plumage.
